Tommo, is that a church in the background of your garden? And in the last but one photo, that grey plant with the bright purple / red flowers - doesn't it bloom for weeks and weeks! So good value flower, that one. Glad you had a lovely Sunday lunch. Ours was egg and chips 'cos I was on strike!
Yup, 'tis indeed the hamlet's church. Only opens its doors about three or four times a year on special occasions. Bells clang on the hour from 7am 'til 10pm. Drove me mad at first but I rather like them now. Great flower, that one. Lovely colour. Egg and chips - one of my faves.
Bohemian hermit recluse hiding in the mist-shrouded hills and backwoods of central France; went to art school in the mid-Sixties and never really left; masochistic supporter of Aldershotnil FC; fascinated by the mystery of disappearing odd socks; follically, cosmetically and vertically challenged but horizontally unchallenged, otherwise perfect (it says here); probably one of the luckiest geezers in the whole wide world.
