Jock

Jock passed away in the early hours of this morning. Our grief and sense of loss is only matched by the joy and happiness he gave us over his lifetime. Thanks mate. Miss you.

  1. Oh Tommo, so sorry to hear this sad news....you have my heartfelt sympathy.
What a great companion he was.....he will be be sadly missed.
My tears are flowing with yours, but I know he is having fun with Sprocket over on the Rainbow Bridge.
    May he rest in peace.

  2. Sorry to hear the news, but at least he died in his sleep. I am hoping that Boolie will do the same when his time comes. Would rather wake up and find him passed over rather than having to have the intervention of a vet to help him leave this world. Vx

  3. So terribly sorry to hear this news.
You will miss him but he had a great life with you, the best time any dog could have.

  7. Bonjour chaps, am slowly getting used to being without the pitter-patter of tiny paws echoing around the house. Am also missing our daily walks. Walking without a dog is weird. I suppose we'll get used to it. Eventually.

  8. It may be too soon, but I'm wondering if a little rescue puppy will enjoy going for walks with you when it warms it again.

    1. Bonjour Virginia. Thanks for your suggestion and apologies for my late response. Yes, we've considered adopting a rescue pup, but don't want to rush into it. Am currently enjoying the lack of responsibility that being dogless affords. We'll get another woofer if and when the time comes.

  9. We've just lost a 4 year old Lab', so I sympathise. Your profile sounds a bit like me, although I don't smoke and occasionally support Brightonnil FC.

    1. Bonjour Cro. Sorry to hear you've lost your Lab. And such a young one too. Are you thinking of getting another? Er..., I should rewrite my profile - I gave up the fags over a year ago.

    1. Bonjour! Yes, I'm fine thanks Ally and merci for your message. Mind you, grey winters rarely provide inspiration for bloggeau scribing. I've just realised I haven't really bloggeaued for about a year. Hope to start again soon.

  11. Hey ho Tommo!!
Just checking in to make sure you're doing okay...I know the winter weather can bring your spirit down somewhat, but I guess you're using the indoor time to check out some routes to travel on that "new" bike of yours....bet you can't wait till spring has really sprung.

    1. Hello there, Yes thanks, I'm doing fine and have indeed been active on the bike front. Will do a bike posting regarding recent activity soonish. Not sure if springtime hits your neck of the woods around now but up here it seems to arrived at last.

    2. It's always summer here on the island....many folks with harsh winters travel here to spend the winter months in the Caribbean.
