The calm before the storm

This is getting silly. Mid-December and it's still sunny. Bit weird doing Chrissy cards in bright sunshine. Mind you, I read that snow's recently fallen in Val d'Isère. And not a moment too soon according to the hoteliers and ski-ing instructors etc. Personally, I'm quite happy without the stuff. Think I'll go and Dubbin my boots, just in case.

  1. Oh it has been marvelously warm so far hasn't it! Have got the thermals on though, but it is still warm when the sun is out. But I suppose winter will arrive soon, and when it does it will probably be at full pelt! Love the colours of your photo up top.

  2. Don't know if you've had your storm yet but we certainly have. Howling gales, thunder, lightning, torrential rain interspersed with hailstorms.

  3. Vera - Thanks for your message. Thermals, eh? Very sensible.

CB - Yup, weather now changed. Grey, wet and blustery. Not as bad as UK though.

  4. Funny how one word or phrase can take you back years. When I was a scout, and that's long time ago, I was often encouraged to dubbin my boots to keep them waterproof. I'll be hunting down the Kendal mint cake next!
